Tucker Carlson is an American television host and conservative political commentator who has hosted the nightly political talk show Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News since 2016. Carlson began his media career in the 1990s, writing for The Weekly Standard and other publications.
Tucker Carlson was born in San Diego. His father was a news anchor, and would-be politician, and Tucker’s stepmother was the heir to the Swanson frozen-food fortune. Carlson went to boarding school in Rhode Island and then attended Trinity College in Connecticut for history.
He began his career in journalism in the 1990s after graduating from high school. He worked for the Heritage Foundation in Connecticut and an Arkansas newspaper. He became CNN’s youngest anchor in 2000. This was his big break in television.
