Dave was driven by a strong interest in weather and took advantage of the on-camera experience gained as his high school’s first weatherman. Dave interned at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on his way to CBS 42. He didn’t take long to land a job as the morning meteorologist at WSEE-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Then he moved to South Louisiana and spent ten years as the morning and noon meteorologist at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge. In 2008, he was named Best Weathercast by the Louisiana Associated Press. Dave made the journey down Interstate 10 to New Orleans in 2014, where he worked as the morning meteorologist at WWL-TV for nearly 7 years.
In 2015, he was named Best Weathercaster once more. Needless to say, Dave has lived through some of South Louisiana’s most devastating hurricanes, from Katrina to Gustav, as well as the wacky 2020 hurricane season. Dave has received the American Meteorological Society’s prestigious “Seal of Approval.”
